Fellowship Work Summary, 1994–95

Patricia Cline Cohen finished seven chapters of her book tentatively titled, "The Murder of Helen Jewett: Gender and Sexuality in Jacksonian America" (Knopf), as well as "Ministerial Misdeeds: The Onderdonk Trial and Sexual Harassment in the 1840s," which will appear in the Journal of Women's History and in an edited collection, The Power of Faith: Explorations in Race and Gender in American Protestantism (Cornell University Press, 1996). She also completed revisions of six chapters of an American history survey, The American Promise (Bedford Books, 1996), and wrote three book reviews.
