Fellowship Work Summary, 1990–91
Leon Fink researched and wrote an extended essay on the changing attitudes of American intellectuals towards a democratic public, part of his larger project on "Intellectuals and America's Working People." He edited an article on "'Intellectuals' versus 'Workers': Academic Requirements and the Creation of Labor History," which was published in the American Historical Review, and rewrote "The Forward March of Labour Started? Reflections on Class and Politics in West Ham, 1898-1900."
