Fellowship Work Summary, 1992–93

Craig A. Monson wrote and began revising twelve chapters of his book tentatively titled "Disembodied Voices: Music and Culture in an Early Modern Convent." He engaged in the preliminary editing of music by Lucretia Vizzana for Women Composers: An Historical Anthology, I: Composers Born before 1600, edited by Sylvia Glickman and Martha Furman Schleifer (G.K. Hall), and he contributed "Vizzana, Lucretia Orsina" to The New Grove's Dictionary of Women Composers and "Renewal, Reform, and Reaction in Catholic Music" to The New Oxford History of Music, New Series, vol. 4 (1520-1640).
