William H. Sewell, Jr. wrote a draft of an article tentatively titled "The Rise of Capitalism, the Subsumption of Labor, and the Empire of Fashion in Eighteenth-Century France." He also wrote an article, "Crooked Lines," for a forum on Geoff Eley's A Crooked Line, to appear in American Historical Review.
