Fellowship Work Summary, 1995–96

W. Fitzhugh Brundage revised two forthcoming books: A Socialist Utopia in the New South: The Ruskin Colonies in Tennessee and Georgia, 1894-1901 (University of Illinois Press, Fall 1996) and Under Sentence of Death: Essays on Lynching in the South (University of North Carolina Press, Spring 1997). He researched and drafted the introduction and first chapter of his next project, "Historical Memory and Regional Identity in the Modern South, 1880-1990."
