Fellowship Work Summary, 1995–96

U. C. Knoepflmacher nearly finished his project, Ventures into Childland (forthcoming from the University of Chicago Press), writing the preface, two chapters on Lewis Carroll and two on Christina Rossetti, and beginning the final one on Juliana Ewing. In addition he completed the introduction for a special issue on "Cross-Writing Child and Adult" that he is co-editing for the annual Children's Literature and revised "Repudiating Sleeping Beauty" (largely on Perrault and his Italian predecessor, Giambattista Basile) that will be included in an edited collection to be published next year by The Johns Hopkins University Press.
