Fellowship Work Summary
Tait Keller (Burkhardt Fellow of the American Council of Learned Societies) concentrated on his book Green and Grim: A Global Environmental History of the First World War and made final preparations for Environmental History of World War I, a collection which he coedited with Richard Tucker, John McNeill, and Martin Schmid (Cambridge University Press, 2018). The book included his introductory essay, “Mobilizing Nature for the First World War: An Introduction.” Keller is associate professor history at Rhodes College.
