Fellowship Work Summary, 1996–97
T. J. Anderson wrote a composition for violin, string trio, and B-flat clarinet published by the American Composers Alliance. He presented a paper at a celebration for Leon Forrest held at the Art Institute of Chicago, served as Composer-in-Residence at Northwestern University, and was honored at a meeting in Atlanta of the National Black Music Caucus. For the National Humanities Center's spring public lecture series, he screened "Walker," a chamber opera on which he collaborated with poet Derek Walcott.
