Fellowship Work Summary, 1992–93

Steven C. Caton wrote the remaining five chapters of a book on the film Lawrence of Arabia; engaged in research on nineteenth- and twentieth-century travelogues for a book on Lowell Thomas; and completed two chapters of "Anger Be Now Thy Song": The Anthropology of an Event, a study of violence and mediation in the Middle East. He lectured on this last topic at the National Humanities Center and the edited piece appeared in the Summer 1993 issue of Ideas.
