Robert S. C. Gordon carried out primary research for his book The Holocaust in Italian Culture, 1944-2001 and drafted three chapters. A version of one chapter, "The Holocaust in Italian Collective Memory: Il giorno della memoria, 27 January 2001," appeared in the journal Modern Italy (vol. 11, no. 2, 2006); a version of another chapter, "Which Holocaust? Primo Levi and the Field of Holocaust Memory in Post-War Italy," appeared in Italian Studies (vol. 61, no. 1, 2006). He edited Leonardo De Benedetti and Primo Levi's Auschwitz Report (Verso, forthcoming 2006); and completed editing and cowriting a chapter with Marco Belpoliti entitled "Levi's Holocaust Vocabularies" for The Cambridge Companion to Primo Levi (Cambridge University Press, forthcoming 2007). Gordon is reader in Modern Italian Culture and fellow of Gonville and Caius College, University of Cambridge.
