Robert A. Ferguson worked on his book, The Trial in American Life, writing four chapters and reworking two others. He revised The American Enlightenment: 1750-1820 for a paperback edition (Cambridge University Press) and completed two articles—one for a collection to be published by Yale University Press under the editorship of Peter Brooks and Paul Gewirtz; the other for Ideas (Volume 3, Number 2, 1995) on "Gabriel's Rebellion: An Untold Story in the Law."
