Richard Moran drafted two chapters of a book on self-knowledge and moral psychology and worked on a paper for the annual meeting of the Modern Language Association—"Personification and the Sublime in Eighteenth-Century Thought." He wrote an essay (with Cynthia Baughman) on Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction, which appeared in Creative Screenwriting, and revised an analysis of metaphor in Aristotle's Rhetoric for inclusion in Philosophical Essays on Aristotle's Rhetoric (University of California Press, 1995), edited by A. O. Rorty.
