Fellowship Work Summary, 2016–17

Nicholas Harkness made substantial progress on his book The Semiotics of Intensity: Glossolalia, Collective Prayer, and South Korean Social Life. In addition, he submitted a revised chapter of his book as a journal article "Glossolalia and Cacophony in South Korea: Cultural Semiosis at the Limits of Language" and published another revised chapter "Transducing a Sermon, Inducing Conversion: Billy Graham, Billy Kim, and the 1973 Crusade in Seoul" in Representations (vol. 137, no. 1, 2017).
