Mieko Nishida drafted her book Gender, Race, and Nation in the Diaspora: Japanese Brazilians in São Paulo, Brazil and completed "Slavery and Gender" for Oxford Bibliographies Online: Atlantic History. She is also a senior editor for the Dictionary of Caribbean and Afro-Latin Biography, forthcoming from Oxford University Press.
