Fellowship Work Summary, 2010–11

Maria Georgopoulou read widely for and drafted three chapters of her book Arts, Industry and Trade in the Medieval Mediterranean. She completed "Cultural Conflict: Crusaders, Colonists, and Byzantine Churches" for Early Christian and Byzantine Architecture (Cambridge University Press, forthcoming); drafted "The Vernacular of Venetian Crete: Some Thoughts on the Architecture for Latins and Greeks" for Medieval Encounters (2012); and edited the annual publication of the Gennadius Library at the American School of Classical Studies at Athens, the New Griffon, vol. 12, Hidden Treasures of the Gennadius Library (2011).
