Fellowship Work Summary, 2016–17

Kim F. Hall made substantial progress on her monograph "Othello Was My Grandfather": Shakespeare and Race in the African Diaspora. She also contributed "'Intelligently Organized Resistance': Shakespeare in the Diasporic Politics of John E. Bruce" for Shakespeare and the Pedagogies of Social Justice and wrote or completed six entries (Rosalind Cash, Classical Theatre of Harlem, Laurence Fishburne, Hip-Hop Shakespeare, James Earl Jones, and Slavery) for the Global Shakespeare Encyclopedia.
