Jennifer L. Fleissner wrote two chapters of her book Maladies of the Will: Literature as a Symptomatology of Modernity and did research for two others. She also began writing two articles, "Melville's Stutter: Billy Budd and the Symptomatology of Modernity" and "The Pathology of Romanticism: Ian McEwan's Enduring Love."
