Israel Gershoni wrote seven out of ten chapters for his book Egypt in the Second World War, 1938-1945 and edited (with Amy Singer and Hakan Erdem) Narrating History: Histories and Historiographies of the Twentieth-Century Middle East (University of Washington Press, forthcoming 2006).
