Fellowship Work Summary, 2018–19

Honor Sachs drafted two chapters and started a third for her book Freedom by a Judgement: The Legal History of an Afro-Indian Family. Sachs also wrote “Hannah and Judith: Generations of Indigenous Slavery from Florida to Virginia,” which will appear in an upcoming collection edited by Erica Ball, Tatiana Seijas, and Terri Snyder titled Freedom in Degrees: Slavery, Race, and Resistance Across the Americas (Cambridge University Press, forthcoming, 2020).
