Fellowship Work Summary, 1991–92

Hong Zhu wrote and delivered at Harvard University a paper examining images of women in contemporary Chinese fiction. This piece—"Women, Illness, and Hospitalization"—will appear in a vol-ume of conference papers, Gender and China, to be published by Harvard University Press. She also worked on "Gossip—Ramblings in Contemporary Chinese Fiction," solicited for the Daedalus Collection of Essays (Stanford University Press).
