Fellowship Work Summary, 1993–94

Evelyn Brooks Higginbotham researched and finished writing four chapters for her book of theoretical essays on African-American women’s history under contract with the University of North Carolina Press, tentatively entitled “Race, History, and Feminist Theory.” A version of one of these chapters— “The ‘Subject’ of Resistance in African American-Women’s History”—was presented as a public lecture at the National Humanities Center.
