Fellowship Work Summary, 1991–92

Eve Kosofsky Sedgwick made substantial progress on her book-length project, Tendencies, which will include two essays she wrote at the Center: "Identification and Identity in The Wings of the Dove" and "Queer & Now" (the latter also to appear in an edited Viking Press volume). She wrote "Socratic Raptures, Socratic Ruptures: Toward Queer Performativity" (forthcoming in The Institutions of English, edited by Jonathan Kamholtz and Susan Gubar) and "Queer Performativity: Henry James's The Art of the Novel," both of which will be in a new book that she began at the Center.
