Ekaterina Nikova concentrated on her project, The Balkans: Modernization Unfulfilled, to be published by W. W. Norton. She also finished "Bulgaria's Perspective on the Black Sea Zone," a chapter in The Black Sea Security in the Post-Soviet Era (Brookings Institution).
