Fellowship Work Summary, 1990–91

Douglass Cater worked on two books, drafting four chapters of The Idea of a Small College and revising one-half of Life Among the Politicians. He opened the season's Associate Lecture Series at the Smithsonian Institution on the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Great Society, participated in a seminar at the LBJ Presidential Library on The Historian's Questions about the Vietnam War, and gave an address on "Private Philanthropy and Higher Education" at the centennial celebration of the University of Texas at Galveston.
