Fellowship Work Summary, 2004–05

Deborah E. Harkness completed drafts of five out of six chapters of her book The Jewel House of Art and Nature: Elizabethan London and the Social Foundations of the Scientific Revolution (under contract with Yale University Press) and an article, "Nosce Teipsum: Curiosity, the Humoral Body, and the Culture of Therapeutics in Late Sixteenth- and Early Seventeenth-Century England," that will appear in Curiosity and Wonder from the Renaissance to the Enlightenment, edited by R. J. W. Evans and Alexander Marr (Ashgate, forthcoming 2005).
