Fellowship Work Summary, 2016–17

Cynthia Talbot read extensively in preparation for and completed three essays relevant to her book Martial Sentiments: Writing Warrior Histories in Mughal India, 1590–1680. She also wrote several articles, including "A Poetic Record of the Rajput Rebellion, c. 1680" for the Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society (forthcoming), "Royal Rage in Rajputana: The Politics of Anger in Mughal India," and "Competing Loyalties to King and Kin in Akbar's India."
