Fellowship Work Summary, 1996–97
Charles Stewart completed three chapters of his project on the history and anthropology of dreams in Greece and finished several essays: "Relocating Syncretism in Anthropological Discourse," "Fields in Dreams: Anxiety, Experience, and the Limitations of Cultural Constructionism in Modern Greek Dream Narratives" (forthcoming in American Ethnologist), and "Who Owns the Rotonda? Church vs. State in Greece" (forthcoming in Anthropology Today).
