Fellowship Work Summary, 1995–96

Carol J. Oja completed a draft of her book, Experiments in Modern Music: New York in the 1920s, to be published by Oxford University Press, and wrote two articles: "George Antheil's Ballet Mécanique and Transatlantic Modernism," for American Modernism, edited by Townsend Ludington (University of North Carolina Press) and "The Mother of Them All: Remembering Minna Lederman," for I.S.A.M. Newsletter. For the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Brooklyn Philharmonic, she prepared program notes on Colin McPhee, and she also wrote the liner notes for a McPhee CD (issued by MusicMasters) and for a CD of Joel Feigin's music (issued by North-South Records).
