Bayo Holsey wrote three chapters of her book Afterlives of Atlantic Slavery: History, Ethics, and Racial Politics in the New Millennium; " 'Watch the Waves of the Sea': Literacy, Oral History, and the European Encounter in Elmina" for History in Africa (2011); and "Owning Up to the Past?: African Slave Traders and the Hazards of Discourse" for Transition (2011).
