Fellowship Work Summary, 1995–96

Arleen Marcia Tuchman drafted the first four chapters of her biography of Marie E. Zakrzewska (1829–1902); wrote a forty-page review essay, "Institutions and Disciplines: Recent Work in the History of German Science," which will appear in the Journal of Modern History (1997); and reworked an article, "'Only in a Republic Can It Be Proved That Science Has No Sex': Marie E. Zakrzewska and the Politics of Science," for submission to Signs.
