Anna Clark drafted five chapters of her book on gender and the making of the British working class. She also wrote three book reviews and finished "Humanity or Justice? Wifebeating in the Eighteenth and Nineteenth Centuries," which will be included in Reproducing Womanhood, an edited volume forthcoming in 1992. She wrote another essay, "The Rhetoric of Chartist Domesticity," which was the subject of a seminar she conducted at Wake Forest University. She presented a lecture on "Gender and Domesticity in Chartism" to the Women's Studies Program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
