Fellowship Work Summary, 1993–94

Alan Taylor completed five chapters of his book, William Cooper's Town: Power and Persuasion on the Early American Frontier, under contract with Alfred A. Knopf. His public lecture at the National Humanities Center appeared under the title "The Creation of Cooper's Town: In Fact and In Fiction" in the winter 1994 issue of the Center's journal Ideas.
