Adolfo Gilly wrote A Bolt Out of the Blue (Mexico-USA, March 1938). He published Latin America, Down and Out, which he presented as a paper at the Coloqui de Invierno (UNAM-Consejo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes, México).

Adolfo Gilly completed his manuscript, Resistance and Persistence: An Essay on the Rebellion of the Enchanted World, a shorter version of which will appear as the final chapter of the second edition of Rural Revolt in Mexico and U.S. Intervention, edited by Daniel Nugent (Duke University Press, 1997).
