Her Freedom Rider mugshot is one of the most iconic in American history. She was involved in over 50 sit-ins and demonstrations. However, on May 28, 1963, as Joan Trumpauer Mulholland was dragged off her stool by an angry mob she had only one thought: Get Back to the Counter. Loki Mulholland, Emmy-winning filmmaker, author, and son of Ms. Mulholland, takes you on one of the most unique journeys through the Civil Rights Movement and the lessons we can all learn and apply in our personal lives to be effective change agents.
