Fellowship Work Summary, 2021–22
Vance Byrd developed and drafted the introduction and two chapters as well as significantly revised a third chapter of his work in progress Listening to Panoramas: Sonic and Visual Cultures of Commemoration. He edited thirteen essays of the collection Queer Print Cultures (University of Toronto Press, under contract). He wrote, "Community and Forest Management in A.W. Iffland's Die Jäger, Modern Language Notes 137 (2022):1–18, and "Adalbert Stifter in America," for The German Literary Field in the Age of Nationalism, 1848–1919, ed. Lynne Tatlock and Kurt Beals (Rochester, NY: Camden House).
