Creative Writing and the Semiotics of Crisis in Contemporary Hong Kong
completed a chapter on multilingual creativity in Sinophone Englishes, with special emphasis on Kongish (Hong Kong Colloquial English) and Singlish (Singapore Colloquial English). Extending this line of work, he wrote a new chapter on the commodification of vernacular languages in East Asian societies, to be published in De Gruyter Handbook on Language and Mobilities (de Gryuter, 2022). During his time at the Center, he edited the Routledge Handbook of Translation and the City (Routledge, 2021) and completed a chapter titled “Translation and Translanguaging in (Post)multilingual Societies” for The Cambridge Handbook of Translation (Cambridge University Press, 2022). He also completed a book manuscript titled Choreographies of Multilingualism for Oxford University Press (in press for publication in 2022).
