Scholarly Writing Institute
July 2–10, 2026 at the National Humanities Center
The Scholarly Writing Institute is exclusive to scholars from our Institutional Sponsor universities and colleges. The intensive, nine-day workshop is designed to provide dedicated writing time, along with expert guidance in writing and publishing to significantly advance scholarly projects. The program fosters a supportive cohort community to encourage intellectual exchange among participants.

During this immersive professional learning experience, participants will investigate how rock and soul music of the 1960s provides a unique lens for understanding some of the most significant social, political, and cultural movements in modern American history.
