About Fellow

S. M. Love is associate professor of philosophy at Georgia State University. Love earned a PhD in philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh and a JD from Yale Law School. Love’s work focuses on developing a Kantian theory of socioeconomic rights. During the 2026–27 fellowship year at the National Humanities Center, she will complete her monograph, Freedom from the Market, which lays out her Kantian theory of socioeconomic rights.
