Sarah Harris is the director of digital services at the National Humanities Center. She has been a librarian at the Center since 2014. Sarah earned an MS in library science from North Carolina Central University where she specialized in academic libraries and digital librarianship. Prior to attending the School of Library and Information Sciences at NC Central she lived in Asheville and earned an MA in English Literature from Western Carolina University. She holds BAs in English and history from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Sarah works on a variety of library and digital services at the Center including reference requests for archival materials and special collections items, the application and quality control of metadata in the Center’s multimedia library of digital resources, and the proofreading of all NHC publications. Previously, Sarah worked at a community college library and has also had experience working in public and academic libraries.
