Fellowship Work Summary
Kären Wigen finished an article on “Teaching about Home: The Global Politics of Local Studies in Interwar Nagano” for a special issue of the Journal of Asian Studies devoted to “Spatial Identities in Asia” (forthcoming) and drafted another article on the creation of the Japanese Alps for submission to the Journal of Historical Geography. Wigen is Jack H. Neely Associate Professor of History, Duke University.
